The Solar Sign Kit is an innovative, solar-powered solution that turns static outdoor signs into interactive and accessible interpretive panels. Designed with sustainability in mind, this kit is perfect for outdoor locations that receive regular sunlight.
The Solar Sign Kit is designed for easy installation and adaptability. It includes a solar panel array with a mounting bracket, allowing you to position the panel for optimal sunlight exposure. The audio module is easily mounted behind existing signage, making it a versatile solution for various outdoor environments.
Messages are stored on a mini SD card as standard MP3 files, which can be easily updated and reprogrammed on-site using a standard SD card reader. The kit comes standard with four message buttons, with options to expand up to eight buttons. Additional customization options include backup power solutions, remote-mounted solar arrays, and an AC-powered version for indoor use.
The Solar Sign Kit provides sites with flexibility with respect to installation where there may be limited sunlight (e.g. heavily treed paths, gazebos, indoor welcome centers, etc). The solar arrays can be mounted remotely and either a 15ft (4.57 m) or 50 ft (15.24 m) cable can be provided with the Solar panel mounted Solar Array.
Solar Sign Kits equipped with a proximity sensor will automatically play an audio message when visitors approach the unit within a certain proximity. The audio message can still be unique to each message button. Clients can use this option to attract visitors towards the unit to promote further interaction and/or to accommodate visitors with visual acuity issues.
