"I started Tour-Mate because I was a frustrated tourist. In 1986, I'd taken a family trip to Italy. Everywhere we went, we had a tour guide doing a tour in multiple languages and then running off down the hall. We were curious whether there was something important between here and there? When I got home, I started looking and there wasn't really anything in the market, so I set about putting together a team that could develop something."

Our easy-to-use hardware, software, and thoughtful content have helped museums, galleries, historic sites, zoos, and many other attractions tell their stories in engaging and memorable ways. Over the years, we have thoughtfully upgraded our equipment to leverage new technologies and visitor expectations. Finding the right balance of technology, ease of use, reliability, simple client-side management, and efficient service has been the foundation of everything we do.

Tour-Mate today

Our operations are headquartered in Toronto, with a subsidiary company in Cancún, Mexico, serving our expansion in Latin America. Our American and Canada Project Development Team is comprised of enthusiastic professionals from coast to coast who are eager to connect with you.

Our product design, manufacturing, and after-sales service resides at our facilities in Toronto. As always, Tour-Mate is committed to providing exceptional customer care, and our Technical Team services the products that we sell.

In addition, we have a network of International Distributors who can help our international Clients.

Our Leadership Team

Neil Poch

President

Neil Poch established Tour-Mate in 1988. Prior to establishing Tour-Mate, Mr. Poch had a successful career with large multinational companies in consumer package goods, marketing, and in market research/marketing consulting. Mr. Poch is based in Toronto and directs the Company’s international sales and marketing efforts as well as oversees the day-to-day administration of Tour-Mate.

Mirna El-Sayed

Director of Marketing and Sales

Mirna joined the Tour-Mate family in 2021, bringing with her a wealth of enthusiasm and dedication. With an accomplished background in strategic operations management for multinational corporations and experience in both local and international markets, Mirna leads our dynamic Marketing & Project Development Teams. Based in Toronto, she focuses on building strong client relationships and expanding Tour-Mate’s global presence.

Shahar Chudy

Director of Operations

Shahar has been a vital member of the Tour-Mate family since 2001. He has an extensive background in electronics manufacturing and communications technology, working in both the civilian and military sectors. Based in Toronto, Shahar oversees hardware development, manufacturing, service, and technical support for all of Tour-Mate’s products.
